The Effect of Alcohol & Drugs

Reading "The Drifters" by James A. Michener. Excellent write-up on the effects of alcohol and drugs. On marijuana, he thought that 10% were unaffected, 10% would move on to heroin and 80% would become lethargic. In other words society would be dumbed down. Listening to the latest news, we seem to be dumb enough and getting dumber.

Just finished reading James A. Michener's book "Return to Paradise". I'm amazed that his earlier works have not been banned. Probably his books are too much reading by those that do the complaining.
