Shredded Wheat

I had Shredded Wheat for breakfast, what my son calls little bales of hay. When I was a kid that was a staple for breakfast. Shredded wheat is a generic breakfast cereal made from whole wheat formed into pillow-shaped biscuits. It was invented in 1892 by John Harvey Kellogg, who wanted to develop a healthier alternative to traditional bread. He believed that his invention would help prevent heart disease and diabetes.

Like any food, its nutritional value depends on how it fits into your overall eating habits. Moderation and mindful consumption are key. If you enjoy shredded wheat as part of a balanced breakfast with fresh fruits and unsweetened milk or dairy alternatives, it can be a healthy choice.
