I just saw a TV ad where you can get a pillow consultation.

YouTube Stars

They did a world-wide poll recently. They asked children what they wanted to be when they grew up. In Europe, Russia and China, the children wanted to be Astronauts but in North America they wanted to be YouTube stars. That would probably include Reality stars also. Certainly shows us where our head is. 

Swear Magnet

I think my wife is a swear magnet. I'll explain. I'm watching a movie on TV and she will walk through the room. At that moment someone on TV will say the four letter word. It may be the only swear word in that movie but it will happen when she walks through that room. I'm thinking that as soon as I see her coming, I should cut the sound.

Dr. Who

I have been a fan of Dr. Who for many years. Having at one time seen all the old reruns, I've probably seen all the shows. This year, while the show may be on in the room, I am usually reading a book at the same time. My enthusiasm has waned. The problem seems to be the Doctor. She rants and raves, spinning around in circles, waving her little prop, looking like a marionette with the strings twisted. 
The characters are rehashes of old characters, although in the latest episode I saw a spark of genius. I am referring to the Cyber men Drones. Modern, yet classical, flying in formation, distributing mayhem with a flash. If we gave out stars, it would be five stars for the drones.

Sports Bar

Just saw a stupid ad. A crowded sports bar, an NFL game on TV, everyone eating wings and ….. drinking Pepsi. Yeah, right!

While watching baseball on TV, for some games, I can hardly hear some of the announcing because of the background noise. Not so with the Blue Jays. Great audio.

Watched the German series "8 Tage (Days). The street scenes with all the garbage strewn about reminds me of present day Paris.

I think watching CNN is one step lower than watching the Kardashians.

The new TV's are so good, I can even see the freckles on Donna from "Suits".

I notice that with a larger TV, a touchdown in football is farther away.

My favorite TV show is Chicago PD.

For $500.00 this would have been a lot of money.

"Punisher" will have to restock their fake supply of blood for next season.

"The Good Wife" is beginning to step into the garbage bucket.

Mayhem Still Reigns

Sunny out today but Thor is supposed to bang his hammer.

Do you notice there is nothing on tv to watch? It's so bad, I've even given the clicker over to my wife. I may be starting a bad idea here, because I'll want it back when the fall comes. I noticed she was watching Masterchef and they were cooking steaks. There was rare, medium and well done. They never mentioned shoe leather or burned to a crisp.

Read this headline,"Retirees Push Up Condo Prices." That's the "Me Generation" for you. It's never them, it's always someone else. When they are through with us, it will be the fault of the generation behind them.

I wrote in my Facebook about Sears catalogs used as toilet paper. Do you know, the first pages they used were from books of poems. They say, on a windy day, you could see these pages flying all over the english countryside. They wern't suitable for collecting.

Yesterday's front page was about the wages collected by people who run charities. Some earn a quarter million a year. It looks like a third of the money they collect goes to wages. And, as I have said before, these charities never die. If a cure is found, the charty is morphed into another. After all, they don't want to lose their jobs. In the U.S, it is not uncommon for the co. of a charity to earn a million.

Mayhem is still running rampant here. At 7:45 AM, three women smucked a woman on a bus and took her purse. She chased them and tried to get her purse back, but went down for the count. The bottom line is two were caught and before the judge at 10:00 AM.
At 5:00 AM on Monday morning, four guys attacked a couple, and used a hammer on him. With all the screaming, they took off and are still on the lam.

You Wouldn't Trip over Your Ego, Would You?

Two neighbours talking loud on the patio last night. I know a lot people that would have started a shouting match, but my wife just went out at midnight and put something in the garbage can. All quiet on the western front. Shouting with he neighbours is a bad idea. It gets the police involved and that would be bad news for donut shops.

Over the centuries, God in his wisdom has given man the means for the advancement of civilization. He has given us fire and the wheel and still continues helping us mortals. Today, his greatest achievement can be found in the hands of most men. A technical marvel that frustates women and makes a man the ruler of his world. And I, like any other man have a number of these TV remote controls at my disposal.

Guilt and consequences. We would prefer to go through life without emotional baggage. But can you go through life blameless? Can we be guilt free of all life's complications? With a little imagination we can attach it to someone else. Attaching blame is not a complicated procedure. The only person we really have to convince is ourselves. And we are our greatest admirer.
